White Cliffs - Dover

Hello everybody,

Yesterday I had an amazing day exploring the White Cliffs of Dover.

We had a long walk along the coastal path until we reached the Foreland lighthouse.

These cliffs have an amazing view to the English channel nowadays but had a very important part during both wars as they were used for defense.

After our long walk. we have decided to take a break and nibble something in the lovely Mrs. Knotts Tearoom. I was delighted just by looking at their amazing collection of teapots and cups.
There you can enjoy a cuppa with a sandwich, a scone with clotted cream and jam or a slice of a homemade cake. DELICIOUS!!!

This lovely Victorian lighthouse where Mrs. Knotts tearoom is situated was rebuilt in 1846 and again had an important part during both wars as it was guiding the Mariners to a safe passage to the straight of Dover.

I didn't have the opportunity to visit the castle but couldn't miss the opportunity to take a snap before we left.
Part of the English Heritage, it is the largest castle in England and was built in the 11th century.

To finish my post, I will leave you a picture from the famous Banksy artwork about Brexit and a man removing one of the 12 stars of the EU flag.
